This is the week where everyone is sharing a retrospective of the past year… and honestly, it’s the same over here. 😜
I can’t help it though, I have loved working with you over the past months! As we head into 2023 this weekend, I hope you make yourself a priority and take at least 30 minutes to slow down and reflect.
Find a cozy, comfy spot.
Pour yourself a warm beverage.
Take a deep breath and reconnect with your body.
What is it telling you it needs more of this coming year?
Check in with your spirit and ponder, “What would fill you with absolute joy?”
The answers to those questions are your true New Year’s Resolutions.
And know that I am right by you, cheering you on and wishing you an abundant, thriving, blissful year ahead!
If you’re looking for some extra support to kick-start a healthier, happier 2023, my Top 3 blogs from the past year have all the bases covered. There’s a little something for your mind, bod and spirit in this countdown.
Let’s see which posts made the cut…
#3 – No Equipment Workouts
Looking to spice up your exercise routine without spending a lot of money? These equipment-free workouts are low to no cost ways to get a speedy, successful workout on the books wherever you are.
#2 – 3 Simple Long Term Healthy Habits for Creatives
Actors and artists are not so different from professional athletes. Your body is your instrument. And just like an athlete training for a major competition, you need to make your health and wellbeing a priority in order to be ready for any opportunity.
It’s as much a part of your job as learning your lines and hitting your mark.
The good news is that you don’t need to be an A-lister with a team of trainers, nutritionists and gurus to start workin’ on your fit-ness. These three simple changes you can make right now will pay big dividends towards your long term health in 2023 (and beyond).
#1 – Summer Reads for Actors
I find that one of the best ways to gain a little wisdom about my purpose as an actor and creative AND relax at the same time is to curl up with a good book before bed.
Even 15-20 minutes of reading a day is enough to help your brain and bod. While literature stimulates your brain, taking the time out to read calms your body’s nervous system, lowers blood pressure and relieves muscle tension.
You don’t need to wait for the summertime to dive into these book recommendations though. These choices are sure to bring a little inspiration and a ton of fun into your life year-round.
