Now let’s get real here, Thanksgiving is about gratitude — a day dedicated to really appreciate all the amazing things that the world around us holds. You’ve heard me talk about this a million times — gratitude is HUGE. Gratitude reciprocates. And you really see the effects when you practice, not just once a year my friends, but on the daily.
Wanna know why? I’m so glad you asked!!
Because when you start appreciating, relishing in, focusing on and loving up on all those amazing little moments, cool people, beautiful sights, sounds and smells —when you start actively putting your attention on those things, something super cool ends up happening — they multiply. Yep, gratitude also magnifies.
More of those awesome moments, fun coincidences, serendipitous events, more of those wonderful people and things you want to surround yourself with start showing up. And before you know it, your life is overflowing with them.
Keeping a gratitude journal or just saying out loud three things I am grateful for every day are a few of the practices that have changed my life. I urge you to make the time for it — and watch the magic unfold.
Look, we can’t control how other people think or feel or behave, we can only control how we respond and how we feel at any given moment. It’s how we choose to perceive things — and the coolest part of all? We always have a choice.
