Keep Calm and Eat Chocolate!
After the Halloween candy crusades, what better way to start your week than with a blog about CHOCOLATE! Dark chocolate that is.
Now that we’ve moved past the bite sized bars and candy corn coma, it’s a stellar time to talk about the awesome health benefits of eating a moderate amount of high quality dark chocolate – and yes, while it might seem too good to be true, these benefits are backed by science!
Made from the seed of the cocoa tree, dark chocolate is one of the best sources of antioxidants on the planet. Yep you read it right, on the planet – way more than most other foods! Antioxidants gobble up free radicals, those destructive molecules that are implicated in heart disease and other ailments.
It’s true, eating REAL dark chocolate in moderation can improve health and lower the risk of heart disease. Quality dark chocolate is rich in Fiber, Iron, Magnesium, Copper, Manganese and a few other minerals.
To sum it up, dark chocolate = AWESOME.

My absolute favorite is Giddy YoYo Raw chocolate…I’m from Canada so not sure if it’s in the states or not but if it is you gotta try it ….best ever!! :0)
OMG, Moniqua Plante – I’m so happy to hear that Dark Chocolate is good for me! It’s pretty much my only vice and I definitely don’t want to give it up so THANK YOU for posting this great video. Trader Joe’s – Pound Plus – Dark Chocolate is my fave. It only requires 3 squares when necessary, and it’s super inexpensive – a total win all around! Keep up the great work 🙂
